There was once a time when there were no nights and no seasons. The sun’s arrogance was slowly destroying the very balance of the cosmos; yet, the sun was impervious. When it seemed all hope was lost, an old woman stepped forth with a novel idea. Rallying all the elements together, she commanded the wind to carry her to the tallest mountain and the clouds to place a large mirror on the peak. Within minutes, the sun found itself getting scorched by its own heat. His arrogance crumbled and he begged for forgiveness. Even as the universe’s balance was restored, the elements proclaimed the old woman as the Solar Empress, who would always be remembered as the tamer of the sun.
